Many systems are straight-forward and are simply adapted from traditional metal pipe plumbing systems, but new methods of heating buildings are now being opened up with the use of thermoplastic pipe in applications such as wall heating, ceiling heating and most especially Underfloor Heating.

Environmental Product Declarations (EPD)

Transparency is becoming increasingly important across the construction industry. Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) provide clear, independently verified information about the environmental impact of a product throughout its life cycle.

EPDs are based on a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), which evaluates environmental impacts from raw material extraction and manufacturing through transportation, installation, use and end-of-life treatment.

Pipelife Ireland is proud to announce the achievement of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for its Qual-Pex Plus+ Easy-Lay Pipe, PVC 110x6m Sewer SN4 Pipe, PVC Red 125x6m Ducting, MDPE Water Pipes (50mm and 63mm), and HDPE Red Ducting products.

The Qual-Pex Plus+ Easy-Lay range is now the first Irish-made pipe system with independently verified embodied carbon data, marking another important milestone in our sustainability journey.
